SPPIN’s Floriane Eshak receives distinguished thesis award for advancing psychiatric treatment

Floriane Eshak, who conducted her doctoral research at SPPIN laboratory last year, has been awarded a prestigious 2024 Solemn Thesis Prize from the Chancellerie des universités de Paris. Under the supervision of Francine Acher (SPPIN team 6) and Anne Goupil-Lamy (Dassault Systèmes), Eshak conducted groundbreaking research on nanobodies targeting mGlu receptors for the treatment of schizophrenia, marking a significant advancement in the field of psychiatric therapeutics.

This recognition highlights the innovative nature of Eshak’s work at SPPIN, which bridges fundamental research and therapeutic applications. Her award-winning research contributes to the development of novel treatment approaches for complex psychiatric disorders, showcasing the laboratory’s commitment to excellence in neuropharmacological research. Eshak was among eleven outstanding young researchers honored by Université Paris Cité for their exceptional contributions to various scientific fields.
